About Chabot Swim Academy
Experienced coaching. Small groups. High-quality instruction.
Meet Coach Bill Kriskovich

I began my aquatics journey at age 10 as a swimmer with the San Leandro Summer Swim Team and started coaching when I was 19 years old. Over the years I have coached several age-group teams, including time with San Leandro High School and Bishop O’Dowd High School.
I earned my teaching credential in Physical Education and spent 25 years working with Fremont Unified School District. During that time I also operated a summer swim school that served more than 300 swimmers each summer.
I am excited to return to my roots as Head Coach of the San Leandro Drowning Darryl’s and to begin this next chapter with Chabot Swim Academy.
Chabot Swim Academy allows me to focus on smaller groups, high-quality instruction, and helping every swimmer build confidence in the water.
Our Approach to Swim Lessons
Chabot Swim Academy is designed to provide high-quality swim instruction in a smaller, more focused setting. By keeping class sizes manageable, we are able to give each swimmer more individual attention and help them progress at a comfortable pace.
Lessons focus on water safety, skill development, and building confidence in the pool. Our goal is not only to teach swimmers how to improve their technique, but also to help them feel comfortable and capable in the water.
Because the program is smaller, Coach Bill can work closely with instructors, monitor swimmer progress, and stay involved with both swimmers and parents throughout each session.
Swimming has had a major impact on my life, and I hope to make it the same for everyone involved in Chabot Swim Academy.
Serving Castro Valley & San Leandro Families
Chabot Swim Academy continues a long tradition of summer swim instruction for families in Castro Valley, San Leandro, and the surrounding communities. Many swimmers return year after year to continue building their skills in a safe and supportive environment.
We are proud to continue serving local families with a program focused on safety, skill development, and confidence in the water.
