What level should I register for?
Level placement is based on ability, not age.
You can review the Swim Levels page to choose the closest match.
Instructors may adjust placement if needed to make sure each swimmer is in the right group.
What if I choose the wrong level?
No problem.
Instructors may move swimmers to a different level if needed to make sure they are placed where they can learn safely and comfortably.
When does registration open?
Registration dates vary each session.
Please check the Lessons page for current registration information and availability.
How do I pay for lessons?
Payment instructions are provided during registration.
Please make payment at the time of registration to hold your swimmer’s spot.
If payment is not received, the spot may be released.
Where are lessons held?
Lessons are held at the following locations:
Chabot Swim Club
San Leandro High School Pool
Location details will be provided during registration.
Do you offer refunds?
Refund policies may vary depending on the session.

Are clinics different from lessons?
Yes. Clinics are short-term training sessions that focus on specific skills and are usually offered in the spring and fall.
Clinic registration is handled through the San Leandro Recreation Department.
